Note From the Creator

Firstly let me say thanks for downloading the map, alot of work went into creating this map, roughly 6 months, and every download makes it more and more worth it. If you enjoyed the map please go back to the Minecraft Forum Page and leave a rating of the map so that I can gauge how the community felt about version 2, and if you have any feedback please dontt hesitate to post it in the comment.

Please also remember that this is not the end of the Hogcraft development, version three of the map is already being thought out and created with lots of new features, taking full advantage of the features of Minecraft. If you'd like to find out about the development of the map and recieve frequent updates aswell as offering your opinion as Version 3 is created you should check out my YouTube channel where I frequenty post video updates about my progress of building the map as well as a range of other videos to do with gaming.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long did it take to make the map?
I started the project on the 30th of May 2011

Can i use the map for another project?
No. The map isn't finished and until it is no one will be given permission to use it for other projects, and it is highly likely that even after that i won't be giving permission.

Can i put the map as the permanent map on a server?
No, you can't put the map permanently on a server.

Can i make videos exploring the castle?
Yes, although you should link back to my channel or this topic. Also if you do make a video send me a link and i may add it to the official topic on the minecraft forum.

Can i help build it?
The whole thing is done in SinglePlayer so it's not possible and i also just prefer to do it myself, mostly because i like creative control with my projects, just the way i am.

Did you build it all yourself?
Yes, every block was placed by me.

How long do you think till you finish?
Not sure. The world of Harry Potter is large and there is a lot for me to build.

Are you ever going to make the map into a modded map ?
My current plan is to begin the basics of modding the map in the next installment of the map, however i don't know how successful that will be, i may team up with a more experienced modder to make it happen.

Firstly i would like to thank Mojang, they have created a truely wonderful game that allows for such creativity, and i would never have achieved all that i have without them.

Secondly i would like to list the mods that i used and say that i am very thankful for what they created. If you want any of them just google them and they will come up.
