HYPERREAL SHADERS v4.0
======================

A realism-focused shader pack for Minecraft Java 26.3 (also 1.21.x). Default settings are tuned for an RTX 4070.

INSTALL (Minecraft 26.3)
  1. Install Fabric Loader for 26.3, then put Fabric API, Sodium (26.3 build) and
Iris 1.11.7+ (26.3 build) in the mods folder.
  2. In game: Options > Video Settings > Graphics API > "Prefer OpenGL", then restart.
Iris does not work with the Vulkan renderer.
  3. Put HyperrealShaders.zip in .minecraft/shaderpacks (don't unzip it).
  4. Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs > HyperrealShaders.
  5. Profile: Ultra (default, RTX 4070), High, Medium, Low, or Cinematic for screenshots.

FEATURES
  - Physically based sky: Rayleigh + Mie scattering, ozone, real sunsets and blue twilight
  - Raymarched volumetric clouds that are lit by the sun and change with the weather
  - Soft shadows that get blurrier further from what casts them (PCSS)
  - Colored shadows through stained glass, moving caustics under water
  - Volumetric god rays (also under water)
  - Water physics:
      * wave spectrum using the real deep-water dispersion relation (long waves travel faster)
      * the water surface physically moves up and down (3D waves)
      * real-time ripple simulation: water ripples around you as you swim, wade or ride a boat
      * rain drop rings on water and puddles
      * flowing water follows its current, waterfalls and rapids turn white with foam
      * foam laps in and out along shorelines
  - Water optics: refraction, depth-based absorption, sunlight glowing through wave crests,
Fresnel reflections of the world and the clouds, sun glitter paths
  - Global illumination: sunlight bounces off surfaces and tints the area around them
  - Contact shadows, moving cloud shadows on the landscape, flickering torch light
  - Temporal anti-aliasing: smooth edges and noise-free lighting
  - Real eye adaptation from the measured scene brightness
  - Screen space global illumination: torches, lava, glowing blocks and sunlit walls
bounce colored light onto everything around them (multi-bounce over time)
  - Glossy reflections on rough and wet surfaces
  - Cirrus ice clouds high above the cumulus layer
  - Volumetric ground mist with light shafts through the clouds
  - Minecraft 26.3: reversed depth buffer safe, new poplar leaves / copper lanterns supported

NEW IN v4
  - Water: shallow water damps waves and makes surf, whitecaps in storms, physically based
caustics from the real wave shape, biome / tropical / murky water colors, tunable ripple physics
  - One wind for everything: grass, leaves, rain, clouds, mist and waves all follow it,
with gust fronts rolling across fields
  - Grass and flowers bend out of your way as you walk through them; rain slants in the wind
  - Depth of field: autofocus, real lens model (aperture / f-stop), circle, hexagon or octagon bokeh
  - Motion blur, lens flare, chromatic aberration, wet lens drops, underwater wobble, Nether heat haze
  - Night sky: thousands of twinkling colored stars that wheel overhead, the Milky Way, moon halo,
optional aurora; double rainbows after rain; lightning lights up the world
  - Parallax occlusion mapping for PBR packs; automatic shine for metals, polished stone and gems
  - 4 tonemappers, white balance, vibrance, exposure limits, 100+ settings in 15 menu pages
  - Stability: NaN / infinity guards, no out-of-memory 8192 shadow option
  - Rain: wet darkened surfaces and reflective puddles, overcast skies, thicker fog
  - SSAO, subsurface scattering in leaves and grass, waving plants and leaves
  - Warm inverse-square torch light, light from held torches
  - Glowing emissive blocks, bloom, eye adaptation, ACES filmic tonemapping
  - labPBR resource pack support (normal + specular maps)
  - Separate tuning for the Nether and the End

TIPS
  - For maximum realism use a labPBR resource pack (e.g. Patrix, Vanilla PBR, Faithful PBR).
  - If FPS is low: lower Shadow Resolution, Cloud Quality, or use the Medium profile.
  - Distant Horizons LODs are not shaded by this pack.
